In life and on the job – "I guide my team to success."

A discussion with Nico De Rinaldis

  • Take responsibility

At MEWA the employees take responsibility – for other people as well as for the environment.

  • Strengthen community

Community is a top priority at MEWA – since you are strongest acting as a team.

  • Promote passion

MEWA offers the possibility of setting goals and pursuing them with enthusiasm.

"I have been working for MEWA for 4 years, but I have also only been working for one year at MEWA. At my previous employer I took care of the MEWA account and was "discovered" through this activity. My own work, so to speak, recommended me for my current position as Service Manager Retained IT. I work here with the same passion and joy.

As the central contact person for IT issues, now I ensure that my colleagues are optimally supported and I am responsible that the IT runs smoothly. But in my personal life I also like to take on responsibility: for example, with football. I played actively until I was 25; but a knee injury brought that to an end. Currently I train the footballers of FSV Winkel. That's even more fun for me.

In some respects football is like life: you are focused on a goal, you work in a team, nevertheless you are on your own, you recognize weaknesses and strengths and can work on them. As a trainer I maintain the overview and I know exactly what's going on. I provide orientation and help others to be successful – in the family, on the athletic field and in the office."
